IUOE Local 399 Stationary Engineers
Advancement Program
Our local is proud of its reputation as a Union of skilled craftsman. This reputation has been built on a foundation of experience and education. We believe education is the key to our further success in the future as a trade union of Illinois and Indiana. We believe our members should possess the highest level of skill to promote the reputation our fathers and grandfathers have built. To accomplish this goal we need to provide an Advancement Program which will not only teach the trainee but to challenge the Journeyman Engineer.
This course guide provides an outline of the program for our members and their employers. Courses will be offered throughout the year and we encourage your participation. This program is used as a trainee program but may be used to update the journeyman's skill. Whether you have one year or twenty years of experience, these classes will be a benefit to you. They are quality courses offered at reduced fees. Please check your labor agreement for possible tuition reimbursement and review the Course Offerings.
Local 399 will continue sponsoring seminars on current topics throughout the year and hope you take advantage of these opportunities to advance your career, enhance your lifestyle, and strengthen our Union.
