Stationary Engineers Advancement Program
Local 399 is proud of its reputation as a Union of skilled craftsman. This reputation has been build on a foundation of experience and education. We believe education is the key to our further success in the future as a trade union in Illinois and Indiana. We believe our members should possess the highest level of skill to promote the reputation our fathers and grandfathers have built. To accomplish this goal we need to provide an Advancement Program which will not only teach the trainee but to challenge the Journeyman Engineer.
Our courses provide a wide variety of opportunities. This program is used as a trainee program but may also be used to update the journeyman's skill. Whether you have one year or twenty years or experience, our courses will benefit you. They are quality courses offed at reduced fees. Please check your labor agreement for possible tuition reimbursement and review the course offerings.
Local 399 will continue to sponsor seminars on topices throughout the year and encourage you to take advantage of thes opportunities to advance your career, enhance your lifestyle and strengthen our Union.
